Révolution is a sculpture of a wood ring which has been distorted. The wood is under pressure ; its resistance is under test. The bending is maximum and it has stopped just before the wood ring’s breaking point.This artwork is making a mutation, a distension, a revolution of its shape by testing the limits of its materiality.

Révolution est une sculpture en forme d’anneau ayant subi une distorsion mettant en jeu la résistance du matériau qui la compose : le bois. La flexion infligée à l’anneau pour atteindre cette nouvelle forme est déterminée par la résistance maximale du bois avant que celui-ci ne casse. Cette oeuvre opère ainsi une mutation, une distension, une révolution de sa forme en testant les limites même de sa matérialité.
